Numbers, the source, and nothing to sign up for
Every page shows its formula, the constants it uses and where they come from: EIA for electricity and gas prices, NOAA for heating and cooling degree-days, DOE and ENERGY STAR for typical appliance wattage. When a constant changes, we log it in the changelog with the date. We don't sell leads, we don't ask for your phone number, and we don't promise savings. We give you the estimate and the assumptions behind it.
